Terms of Service
The rules for using Helm. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.
Last updated 21 May 2026
1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Helm (the "Service"). By signing in or otherwise using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Helm. The Service is operated by the team behind Helm ("Helm", "we", "us").
2. The Service
Helm is a control room for streamers: it connects to your Twitch and Kick accounts to manage chat, channel points and loyalty, OBS automation, overlays, live ops and opt-in mini-games. Features available to you may depend on your plan, and the Service may change over time.
3. Eligibility
To use Helm you must:
- meet the minimum age and eligibility requirements of Twitch and Kick;
- comply with the terms of service of every platform you connect;
- have the authority to manage the channels and accounts you link to Helm.
4. Your account
You are responsible for activity that happens through your Helm account and connected platforms, and for keeping your access secure. Helm connects to your platforms using OAuth tokens you authorise; you can disconnect a platform or delete your account at any time from the Account page.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Helm to:
- violate the rules, terms or API policies of Twitch, Kick, or any connected service;
- send spam, harass, deceive, or abuse other users or viewers;
- break the law or infringe anyone's rights, including intellectual property;
- attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure;
- resell or redistribute the Service without our written permission.
6. Channel points & mini-games
Channel points, loyalty balances and the opt-in mini-games (such as blackjack, hi-lo and towers) are provided for entertainment only. Points have no monetary value, cannot be exchanged for cash or anything of real-world value, and are not a form of gambling, wagering or a regulated financial product. Mini-games are opt-in and configured per channel by the streamer.
7. Third-party services
Helm depends on third-party services — including Twitch, Kick, and the emote providers 7TV, BetterTTV and FrankerFaceZ. Helm is independent of and not affiliated with them (see our legal & trademark notice). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for their availability, changes, or conduct.
8. Plans & billing
Helm offers a free plan and one or more paid plans. Paid features, pricing, billing cycles, taxes, renewals, refunds and cancellation are described at the point of purchase before you subscribe.
9. Intellectual property
Helm, its name, design, and software belong to its operator. Content you create or upload remains yours; by using the Service you grant Helm the limited licence needed to host, process and display that content in order to operate the features you use.
10. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that it will always work with third-party platforms.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Helm and its operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from your use of — or inability to use — the Service.
12. Suspension & termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the Service if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to others or to the platforms it connects to. You may stop using Helm and delete your account at any time.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms as Helm evolves. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version; continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the law applicable where Helm's operator is established, and any dispute will be handled by the competent courts there, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have where you live.
